Addy Richardson, a junior at Scripps Ranch High in California, took third in the Division 2 girls final at the CIF San Diego Section Championships by covering the 3-mile layout in 19:21.7 at Balboa Park's Morley Field. Richardson, who finished fifth last season in 19:30.2, helped Scripps Ranch repeat as team champions with 43 points, as Steele Canyon edged Vista on a sixth-runner tiebreaker after both teams accumulated 92 points.
